Marketing Assistant/Social Media Content Writer

That’s My Idea Marketing | Founded in 2003, That’s My Idea is a growing marketing agency focusing on helping small business owners grow their business. We are their Marketing Department for Hire.

We are seeking a marketing assistant to help with all areas of the business who also has a special skill set in social media + blog writing. Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist in reporting and tracking of client online marketing programs
  • Research and order promotional materials
  • Create and execute social media content for multiple small business clients
  • Write blog content for multiple small business clients
  • Make refinements and general updates to our websites
  • Create, send, and manage newsletters
  • Provide general assistance to the core team
  • 4-year degree in marketing, English, journalism, or communications desired

The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and exceptional work ethic. This person is a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of social media platforms, trends, best practices, and analytics tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
  • Great attention to detail
  • One year of professional experience in marketing, content writing, or general marketing assistance

Graphic and Website Designer

We are seeking a graphic and website designer to help with all areas of visual communication for our multiple clients.

Essential Qualifications:

  • B.A. in Graphic Design or related field
  • Strong design and typographic skills
  • Basic knowledge or experience with printing
  • Attention to detail, organization, and prioritization of tasks
  • The ability to switch between self-direction and supervised work
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite design programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and interest in photography, videography and editing techniques
  • Basic knowledge and interest in videography and editing techniques
  • Knowledge and experience with content creation and distribution across social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Experience with web content management systems (WordPress, Divi theme)
  • Self-starter: Ability to work without close supervision, evidence of self-initiative.
  • Familiarity with AP Style

Summary of Position:
That’s My Idea Marketing is looking for a graphic designer-illustrator to support its marketing team. The position involves the creation of brand packages for small businesses, website content, brochures, advertising, digital media and website design (limited coding). The person in this role works collaboratively with senior graphic designers, marketing project coordinators, and social media content managers.

Essential and Other Functions:

50%: Graphic design and layout of collateral and brand materials, social media graphic content for multiple small business clients.

40%: Website design using WordPress and the Divi Theme. Coding skills a bonus, but not required.

10%: Photography and videography for web and social media distribution.
